Deceased Estate Administration

Administering an estate can be an unsettling task, especially when you can still be mourning the loss of a loved one! We are here to help you through the process!

Administering an estate

If you are appointed as an executor of a deceased estate, we will partner with you to apply for probate or letters of administration and guide you through the estate administration process to collect and distribute the estate.

Disputes in relation to Wills are becoming increasingly common, particularly with challenges to Wills.  We regularly assist executors in defending claims brought by others against the estate.

We can also provide tailored advice to people who believe they have been unfairly treated under a family member’s Will, as to whether they have a realistic chance of succeeding if a claim is brought.  If it is determined that some action is justified, we regularly assist to commence negotiations and, if necessary, to bring a formal claim against the estate.

Estate administration and disputes can often be stressful for families and all parties involved.  Our team has considerable experience in dealing with these sensitive matters and will guide you through each step of the process.
